Firewood

Our standard pallets of firewood are 1.8 rm or 2 rm. We also deliver what we call half pallets. These contain 1.0 rm. The half pallets are extremely practical and extremely stable. It is a clear advantage if you have customers, who come and pick up the item on their trailer. The firewood can also be delivered in 20 liter bags, which make handling and storage very easy. A full truck usually contains 26–28 pallets or 48-52 of the half pallets.
The firewood is cleaved and cut into lengths of typically about 28 cm. We also have pallets with other lengths, typically 25 cm, 30 cm or 33 cm pieces.

General information about firewood

Firewood is neutral to the CO2 balance and is the right choice for heating if you want to contribute positively to the climate.
Dry firewood, of course, burns best. Wet firewood pollutes and can give rise to chimney fire. The firewood that we offer as dry firewood has therefore dried down so far that it can be used immediately.
The best wood species for firewood are the heavy wood species of hardwood. They have a high density and thus also high calorific value. Examples of heavy wood species are BEECH, OAK, ASH & HORNBEAM. Heavy wood species burn more slowly and evenly, which is why they give off heat for longer than light wood species of, for example, coniferous wood.
We have chosen to prioritize BEECH, OAK, ASH & HORNBEAM, as these are the classic heavy wood species with high calorific value. If BEECH has an index for calorific value of 100, then OAK also has 100, ASH 98, while HORNBEAM 110. Other tree species can be supplied if desired.

Beech

Beech knows everyone for its good heating properties and is a good type of firewood for all types of firing. It has a good heat generation and a relatively long fire time. Beech does not smell and the thin bark gives a clean product that also decorates the wood basket.

Oak

Oak, like beech, is really good firewood with the same index of brand value. Long burning time and good heat characteristics also characterize oak. However, oak has a thicker bark than beech and can leave a little more ash. In addition, there is tannins in oak, which gives the firewood its characteristic scent.

Ash

Ash is slightly lighter than both beech and oak, but has almost as good calorific values. Ash firewood is easy to ignite and gives a good heat for a long time.

Hornbeam

Hornbeam is less known, as it is not such a widespread tree species. However, it is definitely worth an acquaintance. It has the highest calorific value of the tree species mentioned here. It burns long and calmly and provides a lot of heat for the money.
